PARENTING JUICE
Juice House came into being after a group of medical professionals and community members realized the immense need for a local organization that could provide and facilitate opportunities for developing and appreciating a healthy lifestyle, with juicing as a major avenue. A major focal point of Juice House is the pediatric population, which is encompassed by the parental community. Juice House offers a program titled “Parenting Juice” which provides parents a simple, practical and responsible way to nurture their children into healthy adults through expert resources, consultation and community support. The expectation of Parenting Juice is to provide your child(ren) a way to be bright, beautiful and joyful, which is predominately related to eating. The guidelines included in this program follow nutritionally proven evidence.
Experiences with food and food preferences begin in infancy and continue to develop as children transition to solid foods. During this time, children's food preferences are also influenced by availability, accessibility, and familiarity to foods as well as parental modeling. Thus, if children are to learn to prefer and select healthy foods, they need early, positive, repeated experiences with those foods.
