our story

HOW WE GOT STARTED

More than a decade ago, a group of UToledo students, faculty and alumni came together with a desire to give back to their campus and their city. What began as an idea to give free, healthy juice (yes, actual juice!) to overworked med students on the health science campus has since become a student organization and community endeavor to cultivate a positive, healthy social ecology for all students on our campus. We hope to provide a different kind of “juice” — the inspiration and energy to live well.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that students hold an important and vital position not just for our college, but also for our city and for the world. We are the next generation of leaders, thinkers and changemakers — and that vision starts on campus. Universities are bellwethers of change, brewing grounds for new ideas and incubators for thought leaders. We believe Juice House provides crucial positive momentum for what that campus culture should look like. One of our slogans is “Dare to live well,” a motivator and guiding vision for a thriving, productive and inspired next generation.
